Barbados Music Awards 2008Barbados Music Awards 2008

BULLET! was the shout from the Sizzla camp Sunday Jan 27th as David Kirton collected his three Barbados Music Awards at the sold out event attended by Sizzla, J Co, Beenie Man, Machel Montano, Voice Mail, Krosfyah, Livvy Frank and Shontelle just to name a few of the stars at the BMA's 2008. David Kirton swept the Reggae Category winning the coveted Reggae artist of the year. Big wins were in store for the new single Green Camouflage as it won Reggae song of Year and Best Male Video. Christopher Gallo of 321 Films directed the video. He was nominated for a total of eight awards including Entertainer of Year, which was won by Pop superstar 'Rihanna'. Also winning were De Red Boyz, producers for Green Camouflage who won the Producer of the Year award. Green Camouflage was inspired by Joseph Culture Hill who encouraged David to wear Camo and break the rules once he heard it was illegal in Barbados... It's all about Human Rights Denied in many ways, every one has their own Green Camouflage.

The crowd at the Gymnasium showed their love for Barbados's Reggae Super Star keeping him on the red carpet for hours having photos taken and congratulating all the winners.
